We made it through security at Logan Airport in Boston, and we got breakfast with plenty of time to spare at the gate. Things have gone very smoothly so far, with one (bear-ly noticeable) exception. Three vehicles picked us and our 17 checked bags up in South Sutton at 4:30am. We prayed together then set out toward Boston.
One of our drivers' vehicles was struck by a bear on the way from the church to get gas. Only in New Hampshire right? The car has a dent in it from where the little bear smacked into it. Reports are in from that vehicle that "the bear rolled away like a tumbleweed" but got up and kept moving. We are fur-ly certain the bear will give paws next time it thinks about crossing the road! That bear experienced more of a headache on our trip than we have so far. Once we got gas, we were underway and experienced very little traffic en route to Bean Town.
When we got to the airport, we unloaded the bags from the jigsaw puzzle-packing job in the back of a borrowed truck. Once we double checked that all bags and people (and no bears) were present and accounted for, we marched in to the Southwest counter. Our boarding passes were conveniently waiting for us due to our "large group" status, and we got in line to check our bags behind a troop of Boy Scouts on their way to Philmont. Checking our bags went smoothly.
Security lines looked daunting, but it only took about 15 minutes for us to get through. Praise the Lord! That was one of our biggest concerns. Thank you for your prayers! We know that it is because of your intercession our morning has been easy so far. It feels very obvious that the words of the psalmist in Psalm 37: 5-7 are true.

Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him
We already feel God's travel mercies on us, keeping us safe (just bear-ly) and our luggage intact so far. We will be boarding out flight at 9am EDT and arriving in Colorado just before noon Mountain Time. We'd appreciate your prayer for smooth flying, seats together on the plane, and that the bear damage to Thom's car can be easily repaired. Thank you friends!
