I'm settled in for my flights back home and have some time to reflect on the weekend and recap everything we did. It was a whirlwind trip, and I'm incredibly thankful to have been able to take it. As always, the Rennells were wonderful and generous hosts, and we enjoyed each other's company.

By Dan T.It's great to be back at the Soaring Wings ranch, not only to continue work on the addition, but to visit with Ed and Anita, Meredith, Todd and Payton. Their love for people and commitment to serving the homeless is genuine. It's refreshing, and the joy and trust they have in God is palpable.
By Dan T.It has been two months to the day since the CO:MISSION team returned home from serving alongside Soaring Wings in Colorado, and as I write this, I'm on the second leg of my journey back to the ranch to continue the work our team started in August.

One summary snapshot of the earliest, first-century Christian church reports that “God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them.” (Acts 4:33-34) The biblical writer goes on to detail the open-handed generosity of Christ-followers who freely shared their resources in a united effort to address the practical needs of the poor. The recognition of “God’s grace” as the driving force behind this material care is enlightening. By Emily M.
Look around you. Homelessness and poverty exist everywhere. If you are like me, you are feeling like you need to do something, anything, to help make a difference in the lives of the homeless. We are called to help. The homeless, "the least of these," are God's people and He cares deeply for them.
There are several ways to help the homeless in Fort Collins and closer to home. By Emily M.Today was the last day at the Soaring Wings Ministries ranch in Wellington, Colorado. We finished up construction work on the addition that will house a homeless family, recapped the week and did devotions, and bid a fond farewell to the Rennells and the Peters, who we will miss dearly when we are back in New Hampshire tomorrow.
By Emily M.We handed out over forty of these this week, and prepared even more. The staff at Soaring Wings Ministries hands out about a dozen Blessing Bags in a typical reach, and even more if there is a specific outreach event. The Blessing Bags are an effective way to care for the homeless "now", while Soaring Wings Ministries plans for the future homeless family that will live with them after the building of the addition is complete.
By Emily M.The construction team put in long hours today and were rewarded with significant progress on the addition to the Soaring Wings Ministries ranch. All exterior and all but one interior wall are framed in, so the addition is starting to look like a home! The "inside" team also made lots of progress today, buying more supplies for Blessing Bags and assembling the Blessing Bags and blankets for the families who will move into the addition.
By Meredith PetersA critical item in the Blessing Bags from Soaring Wings Ministries is a pair of clean (dry) socks. Meredith from SWM explains why.
By Emily M.We got one of the walls up today! Praise the Lord. That is a huge milestone on the journey for Soaring Wings Ministries to build a house for a homeless family to call "home." Today we were also able to pass out more Blessing Bags before dinner with Faith Family Hospitality. We prepared a meal for three families who are in between housing situations and staying in a local church through FFH.
