At the end of June I spent a week in San Francisco for work. It was immediately clear when I arrived, even before I made it out of the BART terminal on Market Street, that San Francisco has a massive homeless population.

By Emily M.We made it to Colorado! The team had smooth travels from Sutton to Boston to Denver. All our bags arrived and we were welcomed by the Rennells, Meredith, and Payton, who met us at the airport.
By Dan T.During our first team training meeting, we shared some of the reasons why each one of us chose to be a part of the missions team. Each one of us recognized the need answered the call of Christ to this specific service opportunity.
Over the past few years, I've had several experiences that have reshaped my attitude towards the homeless and were a big part of my motivation for joining the CO:Mission team. By Emily M.We made it through security at Logan Airport in Boston, and we got breakfast with plenty of time to spare at the gate. Things have gone very smoothly so far, with one (bear-ly noticeable) exception. Three vehicles picked us and our 17 checked bags up in South Sutton at 4:30am. We prayed together then set out toward Boston.
By Emily M.Last week on Sunday the congregation of Trinity Bible Church commissioned the CO:Mission team with specific prayers for us over the next week. This church-wide prayer was especially moving for me. Members of the church interceded for us in such specific ways that I couldn't help but smile at God's provision. I feel confident that our God is at work! Tomorrow we will be officially "sent" from the church for our short term mission trip to Wellington, Colorado.
By Emily M.At the end of June, the CO:Mission team got together in one of New Hamsphire’s most beautiful settings to get aligned on our mission and get to a better level of trust in God and with each other. Our retreat at Winslow State Park only lasted about four hours, but it was full of value to us as a team.
by Hannah H.Every Wednesday night the youth group would gather at Ed and Anita’s house in Newbury for dinner. Anita always prepared something delicious. Sometimes it was waffles. They were really good waffles. After dinner we would take our usual spots in the living room. Ed always sat in the reclining chair by the stairs, and Willy the cat was notoriously sprawled on some piece of furniture. The faces around the room inevitably changed throughout the years as people graduated and moved away: Matt & Jon, Leslie, Charlie, George, Sean & Trudy. But Ed and Anita were there every week, eager to open God’s Word with us. By Dan T.It's a beautiful morning here in New Hampshire as I write this. The sun is just coming up but I can already tell it's going to be another hot day. Quick check on the weather in Wellington, Colorado, where the Soaring Wings ranch is located, confirms that they have a similar day in store.
In exactly one month, the Trinity Bible Church missions team will be on the ground in Colorado to work with the Soaring Wings Ministries team. We are still in the process of nailing down the scope of our work (see what I did there?) at the ranch. Our work is somewhat dependent on how much progress is made by other groups between now and then, but plans for the week are taking shape. By Emily M.The groundbreaking is officially official for the addition to the Soaring Wings Ministries' ranch. God is great, and He is working in the Wellington Community and at Soaring Wings. Here's an update from Meredith via Soaring Wings Ministries' Facebook page...
by Emily M.Today we had our second team meeting, where we shared a meal and discussed several aspects of our mission trip. After dinner we each presented news and journal articles we found over the past week that relate to homelessness. I wanted to share some of what we learned.
